Anniversary Of Establishment Of Imam-Hatip High Schools

The sociologist Hülya Şekerci, a member of the board of ÖZGÜR-DER which is established during the coup of february 28 against headscarf bans and human rights violations, gave a speech on the foundation anniversary of Imam-Hatip High Schools at our school.  Şekerci, who made a presentation to our high school students, told about the process of the establishment of Imam Hatip High Schools, the prohibition and reopening of them from time to time.   Stating that the prejudice against Imam Hatip High Schools was also effective on some of our students, the speaker drew attention to the importance of knowing our history well and choosing our side correctly.   Confronting the mentality that wants to purify this society from its religious values, Şekerci said that Imam Hatip High Schools are  very precious to us and emphasized that we should be aware of this responsibility.
